Mir Cement has shown its commitment to the community by providing relief to the flood victims in Rangamati.
Recently, the company distributed relief supplies to around 2,000 families in the Morishya, Saroyatli, Khedamara, and Amtali Unions of Baghaichhari Upazila. The relief packages included essential items such as clean drinking water, dry food, oral rehydration solution (ORS), and basic first-aid medicines.
Mir Cement's Brand and Communication Department representatives were present during the relief distribution. The effort was coordinated by the local Upazila Executive Officer, Shirin Akter, and Assistant Project Implementation Officer Md Jihad Hossain, with the support of the army, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and other local leaders, including the chairman, members, and notable community representatives.
Mir Cement says that they have been maintaining corporate social responsibility activities for a long time and this year’s relief work is a part of it.
Being a remote area, Mir Cement chose the Rangamati district since many donators cannot reach it. As a result, flood-affected people get less attention than other districts. Mir Cement feels proud of doing this humanitarian work. In future during any disasters when the nation needs, the company is committed to be on the side of the people.
