An international exhibition of jewellery machinery will begin in Dhaka in the first week of July with the theme of technological touch in jewellery.
To successfully implement Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Vision-2041, BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir has planned the International Jewellery Machinery Exhibition-2024 for the first time in the history of the country, organizers told a press conference at Bashundhra City Shopping Complex in the capital on Monday.
Central leaders of Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (Bajus) and foreign partners of the exhibition briefed media on upcoming exhibition at the press meet.
Bajus General Secretary Badal Chandra Roy, former president Dilip Kumar Roy, vice president Samit Ghosh Apu, adviser Ruhul Amin Rasel and KNC Services founder CEO Kranti Nagvekar were present at the briefing.
Bajus will host the three-day event at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on July 4-6.
This will be the first of its kind in the country, aimed at enriching the domestic industry and tapping export potentials of Bangladeshi ornaments in the global market.
More than 30 companies from 10 countries including India, Italy, Turkey, the UAE, Germany, China and Thailand will exhibit jewellery machinery at the exhibition.
Bajus hopes that the exhibition, through projecting modern machinery from different countries, will encourage entrepreneurs to set up new jewellery factories in the country.
Six companies from India are participating in this exhibition - Tisha CNC Engineering Works, Neo Instruments, Solanki Machinery Works, Era Corporation, Quantum Equipment, Accjet Solutions.
Others include three companies from Italy JTE, Fasti & Omper and three companies from Turkey Otek, Ortek and Guvenis Jewelery Mold & Machine.

Five organizations are participating from Bangladesh -- Dreams Instrument Technology, Bangladesh Scientific Instrument Company, Expert Instruments, Trust, and Rarts BD will participate in the expo.
Organizers hope entrepreneurs will help develop the industry and open doors for exports, regaining the lost tradition of the country’s gold industry.
The expo arena will open for all from 11 am to 7 pm in the three days.
