Peyala, a popular cafe in Dhaka, opened its first international branch outside Bangladesh in Singapore.
Peyala, a concern of MGH Group, announced its new branch on its Facebook page on March 13.
"From Local Roots to Global Reach: Proudly Unwrapping Our Singapore Store! Join us at Peyala Singapore," it said in the Facebook post with a photo of the outlet at Marina Bay Link Mall, 8A Marina Boulevard.
The Facebook post was outpoured by positivity from netizens, showing their love for the café.
One person commented: “This is something commendable, I must say. We always used to see global brands coming to Bangladesh, but this time our local brand crossed the border proudly. Keep up this good work and go the extra mile.”
While another wrote that Peyala is her favourite restaurant in Bangladesh, congratulating them for the achievement.
Alongside its flagship outlet at Banani-11, Peyala Café also operates at Gulshan Avenue and Karwan Bazar.
