The Mohakhali flyover in the capital has undergone a vibrant transformation as part of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited's 'Wrong BodleRongin Kori' campaign.
Mayor Atiqul Islam of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) inspected the project on Monday.
This initiative involves adorning the underbody and side walls of the Mohakhali flyover with diverse street art, showcasing the vivid colours of Berger Paints.
The images displayed on the flyovers beautifully capture the rich culture and traditions of Bangladesh.
During the inspection, Mayor Atiqul Islam expressed his joy, saying: "A city is more than a grey jungle of bricks and stones; it possesses the vitality of green. The city can be painted with the colours of our heritage, reflecting our culture, and providing peace of mind even in the rush of busyness. Over the past few years, we have beautified landmark buildings similarly. We are fortunate to have Berger Paints by our side, actively participating not only in the field of paints but also in projects related to our art, architecture, and heritage."
On behalf of Berger Paints, Managing Director Rupali Chowdhury, Chief Operating Officer Md Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, and Chief Business Officer Abul Kasem Mohammad Sadeque Nawaj attended the inspection.
Rupali Chowdhury, managing director of Berger Paints, shared her feelings during the inspection: "People stuck in traffic jams in Dhaka city can now witness such works of art on modern structures like flyovers. The colour and beauty of this artwork will provide them peace of mind. The heart of the city will also be reminded of its roots. Berger has always practised this positivity in colour aesthetics and will continue to do so in the future."
As part of the 'Wrong BodleRongin Kori' campaign, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited previously painted various establishments, including AponNibaash, Chattogram’s Probortok Square and Jamaal Khan Square, Khulna’s Ferighat Square, KDA Bhaban, etc.
