The food industry, with its enormous and ever-expanding reach, stands as one of the most critical sectors that demands continuous scrutiny and high-quality checks. As it caters to a vast and diverse consumer base, the implications of lapses in food safety go far and wide, from minor health inconveniences to full-blown public health crises. In this context, establishing uniform food safety standards becomes essential, as does highlighting the companies that meet these standards. It is in this landscape that the recent achievement of Bangladesh Edible Oil Limited (BEOL) becomes significant.

Bangladesh Edible Oil Limited (BEOL) is the only company in the edible oil Industry of Bangladesh that has passed the esteemed AIB International Audit for "Consolidated Standards for Inspection Prerequisite & Food Safety Programs" for its Packing and Refinery unit. It has done so for the sixth time, receiving certification of Level 1 Announced Audit in the Refinery Unit and Level 3 Unannounced Audit in the Packing Unit. BEOL is one of the few largest companies in Bangladesh to offer the whole range of edible oil including Soybean Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Super Refined Palm Olein and Refined Palm Olein. From the House of BEOL consumers get the most trustworthy brands like Rupchanda, Fortune, Meizan and Lucky.

Founded in 1919, the American Institute of Baking, commonly known as AIB International, serves as a technology and information transfer center for bakers and food processors globally. It is widely regarded as the ultimate authority on food safety standards, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality in the food industry, which is why BEOL receiving the certification is a distinction of the highest order for a company that is a market leader in the industry.

BEOL is a subsidiary of Adani Wilmar Limited (AWL) which is a foreign-owned joint venture between Adani Group of India and Wilmar International Limited of Singapore. BEOL's commitment to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) has led it to authorize AIB International to conduct comprehensive audits of its food production facilities nationwide. BEOL embarked on its journey with AIB International in 2017, consistently adhering to strict food safety standards throughout its operations. The recent success in achieving AIB International certification places BEOL in an elite group as one of the two companies in Bangladesh to pass this stringent inspection.
