JCI Dhaka Independent, a local organization of Junior Chamber International Bangladesh, has successfully completed its 5th general members’ meeting and the general assembly of the year at JCI Bangladesh headquarters in Banani.
The final GMM of the year was followed by the GA where a new executive board was announced for the upcoming year.
Presided by Mukul Alam, the Local President of JCI Dhaka Independent, the GMM started with the recitation of JCI Creed, Mission and Vision by Local Secretary General, Shakila Yasmin, followed by a discussion on this year’s projects of the organization and its plans for the rest of the year presented by Local Executive Vice President Marilin Ahmed along with a treasury report presentation held by S M Waliullah Hossain, Local Vice President of JCI Dhaka Independent.
The GMM ended with a short ceremony handing out recognition certifications and mementoes to the executive and valued members of JCI Dhaka Independent.
After the GMM, 2023 General Assembly of JCI Dhaka Independent was held where the 2024 executive committee members were elected.
Asfaq Rahman, the IPLP of JCI Dhaka Independent, acted as the election commissioner in presence of the local organization’s Mentor Areez Afsar Khan and other national officers.
SM Waliullah Hossain was elected as the 2024 Local President of JCI Dhaka Independent followed by the election of Rafael Mursalin as the 2024 Executive Vice President and Shakila Yasmin as the 2024 Vice President who took oath led by the current Local President and 2024 IPLP Mukul Alam.
Later on, other members of the 2024 board were announced by selecting Muhsina Khan as the Secretary General, Abdun Noor as the General Legal Counsel, Mezbah Rahman Sehan as the Treasurer, Navid Kabir as the Training Commissioner as well as Choudhury Tanvir Ahmed, Shaker Imran, Salahuddin Kader and Saadi Uddin Ahmed as the Directors of JCI Dhaka Independent.
The event was attended by JCI Bangladesh President Ziaul Haque, National Vice President and the Founding President of JCI Dhaka Independent Tasnuva Ahmed, the local organization’s Mentor and National Vice President Areez Afsar Khan, National Secretary General Kamrul Islam Chowdhury among other national officers of JCI Bangladesh as well as by Asfaq Rahman, IPLP of JCI Dhaka Independent along with other board members and general members of JCI Dhaka Independent.
