RFL Group has promised to provide pure drinking water to 40 villages across different parts of the country.
RN Paul, managing director of RFL Group, made the announcement at an event marking the 40th anniversary of the launching of RFL Tubewell at a hotel in the capital on Tuesday.
According to the company, RFL Tubewell is the first product of the country's leading business conglomerate, Pran-RFL Group, which completed 40 years of its journey in Bangladesh.
The company also said that RFL started its journey in 1980 with tubewells, and its primary objective was to ensure pure water and affordable irrigation for improving rural life.
Currently, more than 30 million families are using RFL Tubewells in different parts of Bangladesh.
It has contributed substantially for the success of the green revolution in Bangladesh with a wide range of tubewells at affordable prices, said company officials.
RN Paul also said that RFL Tubewell started its journey in the early 1980s when people were suffering from various waterborne diseases, due to lack of pure drinking water.
“Since then, RFL has been meeting the needs of drinking water for the majority in the country. We are proud to be able to provide safe drinking water to nearly 30 million families," he added.
He also said that they have been able to come so far because of the trust and reliability of the consumers in the company.
“We have a responsibility to the country and its people. As part of this responsibility, we have been conducting various CSR activities. In continuation of this, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary, RFL will provide pure water to 40 villages through tube wells in the remote and char areas of Bangladesh,” he added.
Abdul Kuddus Miah, business In-charge of RFL Tubewell, said that the name RFL Tubewell comes to mind at first because of its popularity across the country and consumer’s trust in it.
“RFL Tubewell has become one of the leading brands in the country due to its wide presence, affordable prices and excellent quality,” he added.
He also said that RFL Tubewell has been the source of drinking water of the people all over the country for 40 years and gained the status of the best Tubewell.
The company also said that RFL uses high quality cast iron which makes the tubewells more durable, while they are designed to make less noise, and provide low force but more water with every pump.
Currently three categories of Tubewells are available - straight, curve and mini, the company said.
Meanwhile, the officials also awarded top 10 distributors of RFL Tubewell across the country for their outstanding performance in reaching out to the consumers.
Shariful Islam, assistant general manager (marketing) of RFL Tube well, Bijoy Islam Arif, brand manager, Md Taibur Rahman, operations In-charge, and Enamul Haque, head of sales, along with others were also present at the programme.
