Fakhruddin Textile Mills Ltd of Urmi Group has been awarded ‘Best Innovation – Apparel and Fashion' at the fourth edition of Bangladesh Innovation Awards 2023.
The awards were organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum and presented by GPH Ispat in collaboration with Aspire to Innovate - a2i and are designed to recognize innovation in different sectors and industries of Bangladesh, reads a press release.
The award gala was preceded by the fourth edition of the Bangladesh Business Innovation Summit. The summit was a component of the third edition of Bangladesh Innovation Fest - For A Smart Bangladesh.
Fakhruddin Textile Mills Ltd won ‘Best Innovation – Apparel and Fashion' for its innovation ‘ERP Integrated RFID Based Inventory & Production Management System'; it also achieved the ‘Honorable Mention' in the same category for its ‘Seamless Garments'.
Directors of Urmi Group Shamarukh Fakhruddin and Faiaz Rahman received the awards on behalf of the Urmi Group on Saturday at a city hotel in Dhaka.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, was the chief guest at the award ceremony.
