Pran Dairy Limited, a sister concern of Pran Group, received the top taxpayer award for FY22.
According to a press release, the National Board of Revenue (NBR) honoured the company in the food and allied category.
The chairman of NBR Abu Hena Md Rahmatul handed over the award to Choudhury Atiur Rasul, director (Accounts) of Pran-RFL Group through a program held at the Officers' Club in the capital on Wednesday.
The Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal and Senior Secretary of Finance Division Fatima Yasmin were also present at the program as chief guest and special guest respectively.
Choudhury Atiur Rasul said: “Pran-RFL group's every entity is playing important role in the development of the country through paying vat and tax regularly. We are getting recognition from the government every year for paying vat and tax that inspire us.”
The NBR honoured 141 top taxpayers, of which, 76 in the individual category, 53 companies and 12 in other categories received the award for paying the highest amount of taxes for the year 2021-22.
