KC is a couture brand for custom home interiors and original furniture, where Kawsar Chowdhury, CEO and creative director of KC and KCDI, New York, creates one-of-a-kind pieces.
Kawsar Chowdhury is a self-taught artist, designer, and creative thinker, who from his early childhood has drawn inspiration from his perceptions of historical design and art to form his own unique design identity, reads a press release.
With his vast experience in international design and art-focused travelling and his keen eye for contemporary high fashion, he has been able to translate these influences into “style-breaking” disruptive pieces of furniture and space design.
KC's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities are in Bangladesh, where it has been possible to incorporate many sustainable processes in producing KC products.
KCDI is based in New York and was set up to be a focal point for providing KC products and services locally there, and taking the brand further globally.
Today they have officially launched the KC Private Collection, a curated ensemble of individual pieces of furniture, meticulously conceived and designed by Kawsar Chowdhury himself.
This seasonal collection incorporates the finest leathers from Milan, Italy.
Furthermore, such premium materials and advanced technology manufacturing processes have allowed KC to fuse art and “furni-tech” to create previously unimagined furniture concepts. The designs are both timeless and contemporary, exuding KC's take on elegance, sophistication, and striking beauty.
The KC Private Collection is dynamic and shall evolve over time to include more groundbreaking statement pieces, according to Kawsar Chowdhury's vision at that time.
KC is highly honoured to welcome Enrico Nunziata, the Italian Ambassador to Bangladesh, who shall officially inaugurate the collection on Saturday.
“We are also welcoming Dr Mattia Ventura, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Trade & Economic Section, Embassy of Italy in Dhaka,” the release reads.
