One of the first compact SUVs that’s become a fan favorite worldwide-the Honda CR-V, is launching a new model.
The 2022 CR-V effectively combines the maneuverability and fuel economy of a Honda sedan.
The interior of this crossover is among the roomiest in its class, with plenty of space for both passengers and their belongings, making it the ideal choice for a variety of drivers, whether they need a vehicle for everyday commuting, running errands, or transporting a small family.
A hybrid version of the CR-V is also offered in many countries; however, it’s not currently available in Bangladesh.
In a class of compact SUVs--which is incredibly competitive, the CR-V is among the finest.
The Toyota RAV4, which is comparable to it in terms of price, size, and feature content, is its main competitor along with the Nissan X-Trail, which has gained huge popularity in the local market as well.
Engine and Performance
Honda completed its research before installing its first turbocharged engine, a 1.5-liter unit with 190 horsepower, in the CR-V and combining it with one of the best continuously variable automatic gearboxes (CVTs) on the market.
Even though the CR-V has one of the lowest towing capacities among the majority of small crossovers, at 680 kilograms only.
Anyone trying to put their foot down on the pedal could be let down by the CR-lack V's of acceleration.
However, they will like its smooth ride, responsive steering, and powerful brakes just as much as everyone else.
Long or short trips, the CR-V’s calm and accommodating ride provides for delightful excursions and its sensitive brake pedal ensures that you always have the stopping power you need when you need it.
Interior
The CR-V offers a pleasant and cozy environment thanks to its elegant and roomy cabin. A modern appearance and feel are created by combining premium materials with a well-known layout thanks to a stylish blend of faux-wood details, chromed plastic, and brushed-satin finishes.
The front seats embrace their passengers in all the right places and are supportive.
The CR-V not only excels in those areas—leading its class in cargo volume and baggage space—but also in other areas because of the user-friendly and practical equipment it comes standard with.
Honda's clunky infotainment system detracts from an otherwise superb presentation.
All other versions receive a 7.0-inch infotainment touch screen with SiriusXM satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto; navigation is available, as is a nine-speaker audio system, but are optional.
The base models come with a 5.0-inch color radio screen. Thankfully Honda brought back the rotary volume knob last year, but the absence of other controls, the infotainment system's sluggish response time, and the lack of an auxiliary connection causes a lot of inconvenience.
However you can always install aftermarket audio systems, but unless you are willing to spend a hefty amount, the Chinese sets are usually off the pace in comparison with the other interior parts of the car.
The brand new 2022 CR-V is available at the DHS showroom located in the capital’s tejgaon area, and it will set you back around Tk62-65 lakh, depending on the options.
