A total of 37 Bangladeshi companies participated in this year's 9th annual Berlin Asia Apparel Expo in the German city from July 5-7.
Nine other Asian countries and more than 400 companies branded their products to the German and European markets at the expo, that was jointly organized by the Bangladesh Embassy in Berlin, the Export Promotion Bureau and the Commerce Ministry.
The participant companies were B Brothers Garments Co Limited, Sahara Exports Incorporation, Pacific Export, Galpex limited, Patriot Eco Apparels ltd., Export Promotion Bureau, Fair Apparels Ltd., Fame Appeals Ltd., Lithe Apparels ltd., Mast Tex-Fashoin Bangladesh, Sincere Knit Garments ltd., Maven Design, Samytex Industries, Fashion lobby, Manvill Styles, Next Composite, Entrust Fashions, Jabbon Apparels, Westland Apparels ltd., DVL denim, Goal line Knitwear, Goal Line knitwear and Fashion Step etc.
They all got positive results with a good response from German and European buyers, thanks to their display of different types of apparels products which would help them to increase their export in near future, the release also said.
Other Asian countries included India, Pakistan, Nepal, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Cambodia and others, who participated to showcase their different kinds of apparels products, especially knitwear and woven.
The Bangladeshi pavilion was inaugurated by Md Saiful Islam, commercial counselor of Bangladesh Embassy in Berlin, while Prabir Kanti Das, MD of Lord Incorporated BD Ltd, Dewan Taj Ahmed were also present during the opening session, the release also said.
