BMCCI leaders meet Malaysian envoy

BMCCI started full-fledged activities with a strengthened research cell to collect, analyze and disseminate data and information among the members of BMCCI as well as the business community of both countries

Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) President Syed Almas Kabir, along with the former president Syed Moazzam Hossain paid a courtesy call on the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh Haznah Md Hashim.

Syed Almas Kabir briefed the High Commissioner on how BMCCI has been working after Covid-19, reads a press release. 

BMCCI started full-fledged activities with a strengthened research cell to collect, analyze and disseminate data and information among the members of BMCCI as well as the business community of both countries. 

He emphasized members’ engagement and mentioned arranging programs like BMCCI legal talks, new members’ induction ceremonies, BMCCI Power Luncheon meetings, and publishing BMCCI Journal on regular basis. 

President informed that the first-ever BMCCI Power Luncheon meeting on “Anatomy Of A Macroeconomic Crisis” will be held on July 23, 2022 and cordially invited the Haznah Md Hashim to attend the meeting.

He also informed BMCCI is going to organize its flagship program “Showcase Bangladesh 2022” in Malaysia in mid-November of this year. He emphasized the importance of investment in Malaysia as well as domestic investment. BMCCI also planned to organize Showcase Malaysia during the first half of 2023.

It also discussed the possibilities of organizing the Malaysian Food Festival in consideration of the celebration of Independence Day of Malaysia on August 31, 2022. 

BMCCI president requested the High Commission of Malaysia’s full-fledged support and cooperation for bringing Malaysian chefs and cultural troops under Tourism Malaysia.

The High Commissioner of Malaysia listened intently and gave assurance to provide all possible support and cooperation for implementing all BMCCI programs. She thanked BMCCI President Syed Almas Kabir and other leaders for their commendable role in developing bilateral trade relations between Bangladesh and Malaysia. 

Among others, BMCCI former president Syed Moazzam Hossain, Deputy High Commissioner of Malaysia Amir Farid Abu Hasan, First Secretary Mohd Aszuan Bin ABD Samat, and Executive Secretary Hasanur Rahman Chowdhury were also present during the meeting.
