One Bank Limited launched the Visa-branded EMV-enabled dual-currency debit card with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology under Al Noor Islami banking.
Cardholders can withdraw cash in taka and foreign currency from all Visa-supported ATM booths and purchase at POS terminals and e-commerce facilities both local and abroad, according to a press release.
ASM Shahidullah Khan, chairman of the board of directors of the bank formally inaugurated the Al Noor Islami dual currency contactless debit card through a ceremony on June 27 at the OBL corporate headquarters.
Independent director of the board and former Chief of Naval Staff Admiral A MMM Aurangzeb Chowdhury, Managing Director Md Monzur Mofiz, and Additional Managing Director Abu Zafore Md Saleh along with senior executives of the bank were also present at the launching ceremony.
