Banglalink holds seminar on startup ecosystem in collaboration with Startup Bangladesh

The speakers discussed how the local startup ecosystem can benefit from AppLink, a digital service marketplace recently launched by Banglalink

Banglalink held a seminar titled “Road to New Digital Ecosystem – Developing Tech Entrepreneurs” in collaboration with Startup Bangladesh on Monday at the BCC auditorium in Agargaon. 

Senior Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division NM Zeaul Alam were present at the seminar as the chief guest. Sami Ahmed, managing director of Startup Bangladesh and Taimur Rahman, chief corporate & regulatory affairs officer of Banglalink were also present at the seminar, reads a press release.

The speakers discussed how the local startup ecosystem can benefit from AppLink, a digital service marketplace recently launched by Banglalink. A digital marketplace like Applink can help app developers use the necessary tools to monetize their apps. The speakers also spoke about the role of digital service providers like Banglalink in developing local startups and encouraging digital entrepreneurs. 

The seminar started with an opening speech by Taimur Rahman, followed by a presentation on Banglalink. 

Sami Ahmed, managing director of Startup Bangladesh and NM Zeaul Alam, senior secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division also delivered their speeches on the country’s startup scene. The seminar concluded with a Q&A session and a crest-giving ceremony.

NM Zeaul Alam said: “It’s great to see how Banglalink is encouraging our young IT professionals through its homegrown digital platform. By utilizing such platforms, they can contribute to the development of the IT sector as well as establish themselves as successful entrepreneurs. The talented youth can unleash their potential in tech entrepreneurship if they get the opportunity to connect with the market.” 

Sami Ahmed said: “Leading digital service providers have a significant role in shaping the tech and startup ecosystem in Bangladesh. With their support, our promising IT entrepreneurs will be able to unleash their true potential. We appreciate the initiative Banglalink has taken and hope more companies like Banglalink will come forward to take initiatives like AppLink.”

Taimur Rahman said:  “With a goal to empower our local tech talents, Banglalink launched its homegrown platform AppLink. We also want to close the gap between the developers and the consumers by making a truly local digital service marketplace. I invite our talented young IT professionals to develop more locally-focused services leveraging the facilities of AppLink.”

Banglalink will continue to support local tech talents with a view to building a more sustainable IT industry in future.
