Uber Intercity is a service that allows customers to travel between different cities. It provides affordable, convenient and safe rides so that people can be with their loved ones this Eid.
According to a press release, Uber Intercity is designed to support people’s car-rental needs, regardless of distance and time. Riders can keep Uber’s drivers and sedans for up to 12 hours.
Uber Intercity is an on-demand 24/7 experience, so riders can book the service at their convenience.
The service is available for pick-ups from the Dhaka metropolitan area to all the eight divisions in Bangladesh.
Afnan, a banker and his wife Shumi, are excited about Eid-ul-Adha. Last year, Afnan browsed options that would let him travel with friends and family. Shumi recommends Uber Intercity.
“It’s great that private cars are not a must for family holidaying anymore. Who wants parking hassles? Or long lines at gas stations? I call Uber even when I’m travelling out of the city,” Afnan said.
“This year, we decided to take our parents and in-laws to our hometown with the help of Uber. Uber Intercity is really a good deal for long trips as it has options for both small and large groups.” Shumi added.
To maintain safety and hygiene standards, all intercity trips will follow a comprehensive set of safety measures including a Go Online Checklist for both riders and drivers, a mandatory mask policy for riders and drivers, an updated post-trip feedback mechanism, and a cancellation policy.
Uber Intercity not only allows people to travel and spend Eid with their loved ones but also enables drivers to earn a livelihood to celebrate the festival with theirs.
