Beximco and Square Pharmaceuticals disclose their quarterly profit

Standard Bank, Exim Bank, Brac Bank and South Bangla Agriculture Bank have also declared yearly dividends

Beximco and Square, the two largest pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh disclosed their quarterly financial statements recently. 

Beximco Pharma's earnings per share (EPS) increased by 16% in the first nine months of the current financial year (July 21-March 22) and the company's consolidated earnings per share (EPS) for this period has been Tk9.6. 

The amount was Tk8.23 in the same period of the previous fiscal year, meaning the company's overall profit has increased by Tk1.37 or 16%. 

Meanwhile, the company's earnings per share (EPS) for the third quarter of the current FY22 (January-March) was Tk2.47. The amount of which was Tk3.28 in the same period of FY21. 

As a result, profit has decreased by Tk0.81 or 25%. 

The company's Net Asset Value Per Share (NAVPS) stood at Tk89.13, as of March 31, 2022.

Another listed company, Square Pharmaceuticals Limited has released its unaudited financial statements for the third quarter ended March 31, 2022, showing that the company's revenue increased in the quarter.

The company's financial statements for the third quarter of the current fiscal year were reviewed and approved at the company’s board meeting held on April 27.

In the third quarter of the current financial year, the consolidated earnings per share of the company including the income of the associate company have been Tk5.15. 

At the same time last year, the consolidated earnings per share was Tk4.36. 

In the first three quarters of the financial year, the earnings per share or EEPS has been Tk16.03. During the same period last year, the income was Tk13.12.

As of March 31, 2022, the company's net asset value per share was Tk112.39.

On the other hand, Standard Bank, Exim Bank and South Bangla Agriculture Bank Limited have declared dividends for investors after reviewing their audited financial statements for the year 2021. 

Standard Bank's board has declared a 6% dividend for its shareholders, which also includes 3% cash and 3% bonus dividends. 

The bank's consolidated earnings per share (EPS) for the year ended was Tk0.77.

The company's Net Asset Value Per Share (NAVPS) stood at Tk16.73 on December 31.

The bank's Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held virtually at 11 am on July 21. The record date for the dividend is set for June 2.

Exim Bank's board has also declared a 10% cash dividend for shareholders. The bank's consolidated earnings per share (EPS) for the year ended was Tk1.49 and the company's net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk21.72 on December 31.

The bank's annual general meeting (AGM) will be held on June 26 at 11 am and the record date for the dividend is set for May 26.

The shareholders of Brac Bank Limited have approved a 15% dividend – 7.50% in the form of cash and 7.50% in stock, for the year 2021.

The bank registered a net profit after tax (NPAT) of Tk555 crore with a growth of 22% compared to NPAT in 2020 on a standalone basis.

Consolidated financials reflected an NPAT of Tk465 crore with year on year (YoY)

growth of 15%.

Another local bank, South Bengal Agriculture Bank's board has declared a 4% dividend for its shareholders, which includes a 3% cash and 1% bonus dividend. 

The bank's consolidated earnings per share (EPS) for the year ended was Tk0.74 and the company's net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk13.54 on December 31.

The bank's annual general meeting will be held on June 23 at 3 pm and the record date for the dividend is set for May 29.
