Keeping this in mind, brands and e-commerce platforms have come up with lucrative offers for Boishakh this year.
The discount offers are mostly ranging from 5% to 35%, which also come with a free home delivery option in most cases.
Walton’s own e-commerce platform Walcart is offering up to a 25% discount along with an additional 10% cashback for bKash payments.
With the discount, products like shirts, panjabis, saris and children’s clothing are available at lucrative prices on the Walcart platform.
In addition, Walcart is offering up to a 30% discount for gift vouchers for Bata, a Tk10,000 gift voucher is available at Walcart for Tk7,000 only.
Meanwhile, other gift cards, ranging from Tk2,000 to Tk15,000 are available at 26-29% discounts.
With a 26% discount, the Tk2,000 gift card will cost Tk1,480 and the Tk15,000 gift card will cost only Tk11,000.
Walcart also has a 5% flat discount on Cats Eye gift cards, 27% on Crocodile gift cards, 13% on Men's World gift cards and a 13% discount on Sadakalo gift cards.
Meanwhile, Esquire Electronics is offering an additional 5% discount on air conditioners for Pohela Boishakh. This offer will be available for April 14 only.
With the discount, a 1.5-ton air conditioner, which is usually priced at Tk1,05,900 will be available at Tk98,900 at Esquire Electronics on that specific date.
Meanwhile, Samsung authorized online shop– Fair Electronics is offering up to a 22% discount with six month EMI on selective models of television, refrigerator, air conditioner, microwave oven and washing machines.
With this offer, a 20L microwave oven with a regular price of Tk8,900 is available at Tk8,010.
Meanwhile, Samsung’s 32 inches smart TV is now available at Tk27,810 with a 15% discount, its regular price is set at Tk32,000. 218L refrigerator is available at Tk31,410 with a 10% discount on its regular price of Tk34,900.
Popular e-commerce platform Daraz also organized a special campaign for Pohela Boishakh which will continue until April 14. During the campaign, the Daraz customers can enjoy discount offers and vouchers including prepayment vouchers, Hot Deals, Mega Deals, Firework Vouchers, Flash Sale, Shake Shake, Mega Vouchers and many more. It will also offer a 0% EMI facility for 12 months.
In addition to the discount offered by Daraz, customers will also receive a 10% additional cashback upon paying using bKash. They will also get a 10% discount upon making payments using the cards of LankaBangla Finance, Brac Bank, HSBC Bank and Prime Bank.
Daraz’s mega discounts are up to Tk12,000 while customers will receive smartphones and other gifts through the Shake Shake campaign.
With a 15% discount, Walton’s 20L microwave over is available at Tk6,999 at Daraz. The regular price for the oven is Tk8,250.
Panasonic Blender is also available at a 25% discounted price of Tk3,595 instead of the regular Tk4,800 price.
Upon spending Tk10,000, consumers will get another 5% discount voucher. Other available vouchers are 6% on spending Tk30,000 and 7% on spending Tk60,000.
Daraz also has offers on purchasing gadgets. A Tk5,000 Tenda AC23 7-antenna router is available at Tk4,165 with a 17% discount on it and an Intel Core 2 Duo PC is available at Tk6,500 with a 36% discount.
Realme 9i smartphone is being sold at Tk18,774 with a 4% discount (the regular price is Tk19,490). There are also offers on Infinix, Samsung, Nokia and Motorola handsets.
