Five companies of Pran-RFL Group got national export trophies for outstanding contribution in the export segment for FY2017-18.
The country’s leading conglomerate got the trophies from the commerce ministry for exporting agro-processing, plastic goods and light engineering products, reads a press release.
The Government of Bangladesh awarded the ‘National Export Trophy’ to Pran-RFL Group as the highest exporter for the last 17 consecutive years.
In the agro-processing sector, Pran Group bags all awards in this category.
Pran Dairy Ltd, Pran Agro Ltd and Habiganj agro Ltd obtained the gold, silver and bronze trophies respectively. Allplast Bangladesh Ltd of RFL got a silver trophy in the plastic goods sector while Rangpur Metal Industries Ltd also obtained a silver trophy for the light engineering sector.
The award-giving ceremony was held on Thursday at Radisson hotel while president Md Abdul Hamid attended the program as a chief guest through a virtual platform.
Managing Director of Pran Group Eleash Mridha received the award on behalf of Pran Dairy and Executive Director of Prab Agro Naser Ahmed, Executive Director of Habiganj Agro Animesh Saha, Executive Director of Allplast Bangladesh Sayed Hossain Chowdhury and Executive Director of Rangpur Metal Sayed Joynul Abedin received the award on behalf of their organization from the commerce minister Tipu Munshi.
Pran-RFL Group, the country’s leading food manufacturer and exporter, started exporting its products to France in 1997. At present, the group is exporting its wide range of products to 145 countries around the globe.
Pran-RFL has a big market in India and the Middle East countries and the group’s products are now available in Africa, Europe and the North and South America region.
Director of Marketing at Pran-RFL Group Kamruzzaman Kamal said: “We got the award as our worldwide consumers keep trust on our brands. Now 1.5 billion people across the world are consuming Pran-RFL products regularly. We are very delighted for getting the best exporter award.”
