Meghna Insurance Company Limited has celebrated its 26th anniversary at a Dhaka hotel.
On the occasion of the anniversary, special crests of honour were given to 26 officers and employees of the organization for their outstanding contributions.
Meghna Insurance Company Limited is an established company in the insurance sector and has been carrying out various social welfare activities since its inception, reads a press release.
Following this, on its founding anniversary, it provided a free "Personal Accident Policy" insurance service to 100 disadvantaged people.
Under this policy, Tk1 lakh will be paid in case of accidental deaths and medical expenses will be borne in case of injury.
Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique, chief executive officer of the company, presided over the ceremony, Additional Managing Director Abdul Hamid, FCA; Additional Managing Director and Head Branch Coordinator Prof MA Zaher Chowdhury; and senior officers and staff of different branches and head offices were present on the occasion.
Meghna Insurance Company Limited is a second-generation private sector non-life insurance company in Bangladesh.
It provides all types of non-life insurance business services in Bangladesh.

Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique said: "Meghna Insurance is an established name in the insurance industry. Meghna Insurance is always ahead in providing customer service. The main demand of the insurer is to pay the insurance claims raised at the right time, which Meghna Insurance has been doing all along. Although there are numerous allegations against other companies for making claims, there are no allegations against Meghna."
He further said that the business of the company is growing steadily under the guidance and leadership of the efficient board of directors of the company.
The event was conducted by the Vice President and Company Secretary (Current Responsibilities) Md Abdus Samad and ended with a captivating cultural presentation.
