JCI Chittagong Cosmopolitan hands over president chain to new leadership

Some renowned organizations collaborated as an MoU signing session in which members will receive numerous benefits through that partnership

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Chittagong Cosmopolitan handed over the command to their new president recently.

Immediate-past president Md Tipu Sultan Shikdar handed over the local president chain to the newly-elected president Abu Bakar Shahed (Shaan).

The gala event was held on Friday at the Radisson Blu Chittagong Bay View, with MPs Moslem Uddin Ahmad and Khadizatul Anwar, Chittagong Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral Mohammad Shahjahan, Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Mahbubul Alam and musician Partha Barua in attendance, said a press release.

"We will work consistently to spread positivity through our sustainable development work and events, which we want to expand to the whole country," said the new president Abu Bakar Shahed (Shaan).

In his opening remark, 2022 national president Niaz Morshed Elite said: "We will open more chapters outside Dhaka like Barisal, Sylhet, Cox’s Bazar, etc. so that our younger generation gets involved in bringing positive change in the society and all the citizens experience the positive outcome of those activities. Besides, we are working on loan facilities for young entrepreneurs so that they can get loans easily.”

JCI held its first general membership meeting in 2022.

JCI is a global organization consisting of young active citizens between the ages of 18 and 40, engaged in the development activities of society.

Its headquarters are located in Missouri, Saint Louis, in the United States.
