Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association (Barvida) launched its official web portal, www.barvida.com.bd, at its office in the capital on Sunday.
Abdul Haque, present and also founder president of the association, inaugurated the web portal, said a press release.
The Barvida leaders hoped that the web portal would be a dynamic platform for all the members, the customers and concerned parties to provide all necessary information of country's reconditioned vehicle sector.
From now on, the upcoming members can apply for membership online through the portal.
Currently, around 900 enterprises under the Barvida membership are operating across the country.
The total investment in this sector is Tk20,000 crore.
More than 100,000 people are employed in this sector directly or indirectly.
Barvida secretary general Mohammed Shahidul Islam, Vice Presidents SM Anowar Sadat, MdSaiful Islam Samrat and Md Jasim Uddin Mintu, along with other executive members of the association were also present at the ceremony.
