Dinajpur youth wins Tk10 lakh after purchasing Walton fridge

Ranjit Chandra Roy won the prize under Walton's "Digital Campaign Season-7"

An office assistant of the Khansama upazila project implementation office in Dinajpur became millionaire after he purchased a Walton refrigerator.

Ranjit Chandra Roy won the prize under Walton's "Digital Campaign Season-7", said a press release.

He received a cheque of Tk10 lakh at Walton’s showroom at Khansama Bazar area in Dinajpur on Sunday.

The office assistant purchased a refrigerator with Tk18,000 as installment from the showroom in a bid to help his pregnant wife’s household chores.

Later he received an SMS in his mobile phone from Walton with the notification of getting Tk10 lakh cash on registration of the fridge.

Thanking Walton for providing such facilities, he said, "I was totally surprised when I got the message of Tk.10 lakh! I will spend this for building a house for my parents in Pirganj."

Earlier, Wazed Ali, a tailor from Gazipur, Solaiman Haque, a towel vendor from Naogaon, and Chaithwai Aoung Marma, a poultry farmer from Rangamati, also become millionaires after purchasing Walton refrigerators.

Walton is conducting the ‘Digital Campaign’ across the country to accelerate the growth of their customer base. Under season seven of the campaign, customers may win Tk1 million (Tk10 lakh) through purchasing any model of fridge, washing machine or microwave oven from Walton plaza, distributor outlet and E-Plaza across the country. Customers may also win sure cash vouchers worth of a maximum Tk 1 lakh. 

The campaign will run until the Eid-ul-Azha.
