Private financial institution IPDC Finance Limited recently launched ‘IPDC Manobota’, a deposit product, to help people save money and at the same time provide food among underprivileged people against the deposited amount during the Covid-19 pandemic.
IPDC launched the product to assist the poor people in the current situation.
For each Tk1 lakh deposited in an ‘IPDC Manobota’ account, an impoverished family will be provided with food for an entire month by the joint contribution of the depositor and IPDC, said a press release on Saturday.
The release said the world is going through a tough time due to the coronavirus breakout and Bangladesh is not an exception. The worst affected of the crisis are the impoverished people in society.
Moreover, as food and other products are comparatively less affordable to them during the holy month of Ramadan, thousands of people are compelled to live on a very insignificant amount of food every day.
Through this offer, the institution is encouraging everyone to stand beside the deprived while also saving their money in the account. Both an individual and an organization can make deposits.
