Coca-Cola Bangladesh pledges Tk11.5cr to fight Covid-19

The relief programs initiated by Coca-Cola in Bangladesh aims at benefiting and positively impacting over five million lives across the country

Coca-Cola in Bangladesh committed an initial support of Tk11.5 crore towards helping the country's healthcare system and communities through food package and distribution of beverages to combat the crisis and contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The relief programs initiated by Coca-Cola in Bangladesh aims at benefitting and positively impacting over five million lives across the country, said a press release.

Coca-Cola Bangladesh has adopted a purpose-driven approach to ensure immediate support to the enhancement of the country’s health infrastructure, including the contribution towards PPEs and other vital health kits for health workers.

They are partnering with Care Bangladesh to implement its support initiative.

It is also committed to support the frontline workers including doctors, nurses, police and other law enforcers in performing their duties by catering to their hydration needs through its beverages.

Sundeep Bajoria, vice president (Southwest Asia operation) at The Coca Cola Company, said, “Our approach to navigating the pandemic is grounded in our company’s purpose, which ensures that we continuously strive to make a difference for people in the communities we serve around the world and Bangladesh as well.”
