Embassy of China in Dhaka organized a knowledge sharing session between a prominent Chinese doctor and Bangladesh’s medical insiders through a video conference recently, while global ICT giant Huawei provided all technical supports in arranging the event.
Chinese Ambassador Li Jiming, Health Minister Zahid Maleque, medical experts from the NIPSOM, DGHS and DGMS and several other medical institutions of Bangladesh joined the program from six different locations, said a press release.
From the counterpart, Professor Dr Zhang Wenhong, head of the Center for Infectious Disease, Huashan Hospital of Fudan University attended the program and shared their experience of fighting the coronavirus outbreak.
He also replied many queries of Bangladeshi doctors.
Dr Zhang Wenhong said: “The coronavirus pandemic is not likely to end in a short time.”
He emphasized on social distance, and recommended massive testing for identifying Covid-19 patients as well as preventing its spread.
Li Jiming said: “Bangladesh stood beside China in the battle against the coronavirus epidemic. As a grateful nation and a close friend of Bangladesh, China would like to reciprocate and help as much as we can.”
During the conference, the Huawei ensured smooth technical integration among all the parties with its video conference solution.
