The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Division has organized an agreement signing ceremony to develop “Mujib100” (www.mujib100.gov.bd) website to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) Secretary Mizanur Rahman Miju, under the ICT Division, and web developer company Mighty Bytes Managing Director Sara Ali signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at the ICT Tower at Agargaon in the capital on Monday.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak witnessed the signing ceremony.
The ICT division planned a number of activities to celebrate the birth anniversary of the father of the nation.
Zunaid said: “The website will play a significant role in celebrating “Mujib Barsha” (Mujib Year).”
The website will provide information on Bangabandhu’s eventful life.
The state minister also said: “A holographic speech will be made from Bangabandhu’s historic speech of March 7, that touched people's hearts.”
The ICT Division also organized a competition to design the logo of the website, and any person could take part in it within August 31.
To register for the competition, an online application must be submitted at https://mujib100.gov.bd/logo.
Senior officials including Information and Communication Technology Secretary NM Ziaul Alam were present at the event, among others.
