Traders at the ‘ESET Laptop Fair-2019’ are hoping to have good business at the fair this year.
Laptop fair is attracting many visitors and officials, especially student of college and university, to the first day at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in city’s Agargaon, which will be end on Saturday.
Evident from the stalls selling products such as laptop and various accessories including mouse, pen drive, monitor etc are in high demand and selling well.
Speaking to the Dhaka Tribune, several traders said a huge number of visitors come to first day of the fair, and we are hoping to make significant sales on Friday.
Mahabub Alam Rakib, managing director of Star Tech & Engineering ltd, said they are focusing on showcasing all kind of laptop device products, we are providing in the fair with offer and discount.
“We have a stall this time to introduce and promote our products to the customers,” said Shadat hossain senior officer of Lenvo , adding, “we are hoping, sales figures will be satisfactory after end the fair.”

College and university students told the Dhaka Tribune that the price of laptop at brand outlets is always high, but the laptop and other accessories can be found at the fair at discounted prices, and there are special offers. Thats why, they are visit the fair.
Shakhawat Hossain, one of them, came from Narayanganj, said he had heard about the relatively lower prices on offer and found its evidance. So he has bought a dell ‘Inspiron 15-3567’ price at Tk35,000 with laptop bag and T-shirt.
Marketing Manager of Dell Bangladesh Protap Saha said: “This is the 21th laptop fair, without customer fair is nothing. We are showcasing latest products with offer like scratch card, monitor, mouse, Tk500 boundless offer, 2 days and one night couple offer trip at Sara resort, Gazipur.”
Top-ranked computer brands exposes the latest products at different segments of the expo arena including 1 titled sponsor pavilion, 4 sponsor pavilions, 26 mini pavilions and 10 stalls in the fair.
Abu Zahed Moh Kawsar, excutive product manger of Golden field, told the Dhaka Tribune that we are bring only accessories including various model speakers which are selling for between Tk600 to Tk11,800 with offer an umbrella, wireless combo and pen drive.
Maliha hassan, an undergraduate student, said she came with her friends to the fair in search of latest model laptop and also want to buy a speaker with comfortable prices.
Many sales man are hawking inside of the stalls to attract the buyers.
Al Fuad, Business Development Manager (BDM) of Asus Global Pte. Ltd, said we have launched latest model including X509FL-8265U and X512FJ-8265U are being sold for between Tk64,000 to Tk63,000 and also launched ASUS ZenBook for gaming with one year facility.”

Business Development Manager of HP Bangladesh Mohammed Kawsar Ahmed said while the huge turnout is good, it is even better that people are buying products.
“we are try to target and fascinate the young generation. We are also offering the lucrative offer for the buyer's in the fair including scratch card and give voucher .”
Organizer Muhammad Khan informed that visitors from all walks of life including youth generation will flood to experience latest innovations in portable computers.
“We believe, the expo will break its record this year by overwhelming participation of technology lovers. Global and local computer brands participates the expo to introduce latest technology and innovations in devices. Buyers will get special price cut on all computers and accessories,” Khan explained.

There is going on a quiz competition on social media (facebook.com/laptopfair.bd) where participants will be rewarded with attractive prize, according to the organizers.
The expo will open from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
The entry fee is Tk 30. The school students with uniform or identity card and physically impaired people can enter freely.
Besides, Smartphone users can get entry permit by downloading Techshohor Apps from app stores.
Cyber security product ESET is the title sponsor of this edition of the fair while computer brands Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo patron the event as co-sponsors.
Besides, technology focused internet newspaper Techshohor dotcom and EduMaker partner the expo as usual.
Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar has inaugurated the fair officially at a function at Media Bazar hall of BICC.
Top officials from ESET, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenevo were present on the occasion while Expo Maker’s Strategic Planner Muhammad Khan conducted the inaugural session.
