Popular food delivery brand HungryNaki has introduced their second annual "Sehri Deen," an initiative for giving away food to the destitute across the country throughout the month of Ramadan.
In association with volunteer partner OBHIZATRIK Foundation, HungryNaki's delivery staff delivered Sehri meals to the poor and needy around Dhaka, Narayanganj, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, and Sylhet, according to a press release.
The project was first initiated in 2016. This year the procedure is the same too as the last time.
For every order placed on Hungrynaki (both on web and mobile app) throughout the entire holy month of Ramadan, someone less fortunate will enjoy a Sehri treat in return of that particular order. The delivery staff tried to touchdown in areas where nobody ever goes for distributing meal packs only to spread the joy on behalf of HungryNaki's stakeholders.
The true spirit of Ramadan is in caring and sharing, in abstinence.
While it is also true that Ramadan night outs and Sehri check-ins have become an enjoyable part of our social lives nowadays, we must make the hashtags, likes, shares, and selfies count and uphold the divine spirit of giving away at the same time.
There are loads of unfortunate people who get Iftaar on every day in this holy month but not too many receive Sehri and many of them fasts without having a proper meal, with even a glass of plain water.
