GP announces new chief HR officer

The Grameenphone has named Quazi Mohammad Shahed as its new Chief Human Resources Officer to replace Md Shariful Islam from April 1, said a press release issued on Tuesday. Currently, Quazi Mohammad Shahed has been serving Telenor India as the chief HRO. This will be his second stint with Grameenphone with the same position, reads the press release. Shahed joined Telenor India in August 2015 and earned a multi-country experience of over 28 years. He served British American Tobacco (BAT) and Human Resources Department in different countries before joining Grameenphone in November 2012. Shahed has worked across geographies, such as Bangladesh, Iran, Pakistan, Malaysia and the UK in leadership roles in different functions and on global projects.
