State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak has said the Indian ICT giant “Tech Mahindra” is keen to work with Bangladesh to expand its ICT sector.
He said this after holding a bilateral meeting with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of “Tech Mahindra” CP Gurnani at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, a press release said on Thursday.
Tech Mahindra, a provider of digital transformation, consulting and business re-engineering services, already has a considerable presence in the IT industry and intends to invest in Bangladesh’s ICT in future to create employment.
Mentioning about various projects implemented by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, including the establishment of High-Tech Park for the ICT investors, the state minister informed Gurnani about the overall progress of the country’s ICT sector.
Palak, during his visit to USA, signed multiple contracts in favour of the startups of the country including several memorandum of understandings (MOUs), to provide them with foreign investments without any difficulty, the press release added.
