BEPZA awards scholarships to 135 underprivileged meritorious students

Most of the students who received scholarship are the children of Dhaka EPZ workers

BEPZA has given financial assistance scholarships worth Tk635,000 to 135 poor and meritorious students. 

Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan distributed the scholarship cheques at the Inter-House Annual Sports and Cultural Competition and Prize Distribution Ceremony-2019 of BEPZA Public School and College, Dhaka EPZ (export processing zones) on Tuesday. 

Most of the students who received scholarship are the children of Dhaka EPZ workers, said a press release.

Earlier, the Executive Chairman of BEPZA inaugurated the newly constructed academic complex of the school. He visited computer labs, libraries, classrooms shifted to the newly constructed building.

BEPZA Public School and College is established in five EPZs where the children of the EPZ workers are getting education at almost 50% waiver on tuition fees. l
