NBR to ensure tax cardholders’ benefits

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will soon write to  ministries and divisions concerned to make sure that tax cardholders can avail facilities allowed with the cards properly. NBR Chairman Md Nojibur Rahman said this on Thursday while handing over tax cards to chief financial officers of Karnaphuli Fertiliser Company Limited and Southeast Bank Limited at a programme organised in NBR headquarters. The tax card holders can enjoy a number of privileges for one year since issuance of their cards. The facilities include priority while reserving seats in public transports, public hospitals and access to VIP lounges at the airports. They will also get invitations to attend state functions.
