The decision came in a recent budget preparation meeting with the presence of Finance Minister AMA Muhith.
This will be 11th budget announcement of AMA Muhith in Parliament as finance minister.
Finance Minister recently said the outlay of the next fiscal year’s budget will be Tk420,000 crore. The current budget size is Tk340,000 crore.
Officials of Finance Division said the budget consultation meetings will start from February 26 with political parties, research organisations, lawmakers and professionals.
First consultation meeting will be held at Padma Guest House with Policy Research Institute, Economic Research Group, Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies and Bangladesh Economic Association, said Finance Division sources.
Recently, Finance Minister AMA Muhith said the government would announce a plan in the next fiscal year’s budget on how to invest foreign exchange reserves in implementing development projects.
Muhith said the government will fix the rate of interest to borrow from foreign exchange reserves in the next budget.
