The four-day-long fair would continue from February 15 to 18, with some 450 stalls of 27 companies participating this year.
Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA) president Md Jahsim Uddin said this at a press conference held at its headquarters in the capital on Monday.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu would inaugurate the fair while State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan, the Prime Minister’s adviser on private sector development, Salman F Rahman, and Executive Director (Overseas) of Chan Chan Int’l Co Ltd Judy Wang are also expected to attend the inaugural session.
A total of 12 countries including Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey, Vietnam and UAE would take part in the exhibition.
M Jashim Uddin said the stalls would display modern technology and machinery including plastic household items, packaging materials, plastic toys, pharmaceuticals items, furniture, melamine, garment accessories and PP woven bags, etc.
