Business Forum begins today

International Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) in Dhaka are jointly organising the programme with the support from the Commerce Ministry. President Abdul Hamid is expected to inaugurate the programme at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city. The APBF aimed to provide best platform for regional public-private sector dialogue on the role and needs of business in achieving inclusive, resilient and sustainable development. APBF consists of 53 member states, nine associate members, ESCAP secretariat, ESCAP Business Advisory Council (EBAC) and Sustainable Business Network (ESBN). Top government officials from Asia-Pacific countries, UN agencies, global private sector leaders and experts will join at the venue to discuss different issues. Launched in 2004 in Shanghai, APBF worked as a pan-Asian multi-stakeholder network that has been hosted in various locations.
