Rangs electronics Ltd, a dealer of the Japanese company Sony in Bangladesh, is getting good response from buyers following the introduction of its new items in the ongoing Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF).
According to Mesba-UL-Alam, an executive from Rangs's sales department, some of the new products that are attracting buyers include Sony OLED TV (Price Tk-4.74 to 21 lakh), Alfa Camera (Tk35,000 to 3.5 lakh), Portable extra base speaker (Tk6,000 to 14,500), MDR Headphones (Tk500 to Tk35,000), Xperia mobile (Tk59,000) and PS4 for VR games.
The other items also drawing consumer attention at the fair include the 75 inch TV (Tk199,900), 4K TV, Philips home appliances, Kelvinator freezer and ACs, and Indesit brand washing machine etc, he said.
“Several items are also being offered with cash back discount at the fair. The company has been selling these products at cheap rates to reach sales target,” Mesba said.
Mohammad Juel, co-executive of the sales department at the fair pavilion, said: “Our sales are better compared to last year following the release of the new items. We were not getting much response at the beginning of DITF due to the cold wave.”
When asked what sort of customers buy their products, he said people from all walks of life have bought electronic products from their pavilion like every year. "Sony being an old brand with great reputation is mainly bringing the customers."
"We are hoping that sales will increase at the end of the fair," he said.
