Holiday organizer Chhuti.com is offering an eight-day package vacation to Kashmir at Tk23,000 per person. The price of air tickets is not included.
Those who avail the vacation will travel to Srinagar in the northern Indian state of Jumma and Kashmir via Kolkata and New Delhi.
After the initial two days of travel, which includes an overnight stay in Kolkata for shopping, vacationers will spend four days taking in the sights and sounds of Srinagar, before once again returning via Kolkata over the final two days. During the stay in Srinagar, vacationers may stay in either a hotel or houseboat.
The itinerary for the first day in Srinagar is comprised of visits to the famous Mughal Gardens Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love), as well as to Pari Mahal and Shankaracharya Temple. In the evening, there will be the opportunity to take a Shikhara ride on the Dal Lake.
The second day features a drive from Srinagar to Sonmarg, with stops at many scenic locations. Once at Sonmarg, vacationers can see the Meadow of Gold and take a horseback ride to the Thajiwas Glacier, where it snows all year around. The vacation party will return to Srinagar to spend the night.
On the third day, travellers will be driven to the summer resort of Gulmarg, which is famous for its skiing and for having the highest golf course in the world. The return to the hotel in Srinagar involves a cable car ride from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg.
The fourth day centres on a drive to Pahalgam, which is a hub of the Indian film industry. On the way, vacationers can visit the Saffron Fields, Awantipur ruins and Anantnag sulphur spring. After an overnight stay at a Hotel in Pahalgram, vacationers travel to Srinagar Airport for the journey home.
