Six Rohingyas returned home on Saturday within 24 hours of the alleged abduction in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar.
The police said these Rohingyas returned to their homes around 3:30pm on Saturday after paying ransom money.
Confirming the news, Teknaf police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Abdul Halim said Rohingyas are abducting each other whenever they get involved in disputes over money transactions.
Later, these incidents become publicized as abductions, he said.
“I got the news that these alleged abductees have returned home”, he added.
The Rohingyas who returned are - Md Faroas, Md Juhar, Md Noor, Nurul Haque, Jahid Hossain and Md Idris.
Among them, Md Juhar claimed to have returned after the payment of Tk6 lakh in ransom.
These Rohingyas were allegedly abducted by unidentified miscreants on Friday when they went out of camp looking for work through a local named Belal.
