The government has decided to keep retail prices of petroleum fuels unchanged for August, meaning consumers will continue to pay the existing rates next month.
According to a notification issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on Thursday, the current prices will remain in force throughout August with the approval of the competent authorities.
Under the existing rates, diesel will continue to be sold at Tk115 per liter, octane at Tk145 per liter, petrol at Tk140 per liter, and kerosene at Tk135 per liter.
The prices were last set through a gazette notification issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on May 31, 2026, and will remain unchanged for August.
The government reviews domestic fuel prices periodically under its pricing mechanism, taking into account movements in the international oil market and other relevant factors.
