Khaleda visits Koko's grave

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has visited her youngest son Arafat Rahman Koko's grave 72 day's after the death and offered prayers to his departed soul.

After arriving at the grave, amid a crowd of the party leaders and activists, Khaleda Zia was seen tearful.

She arrived at the Banani Graveyard around 5:50pm on Monday. 

Koko, the youngest son of late President Ziaur Rahman and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, died in Malaysia from cardiac arrest on January 24.

Following the 1/11 political changeover in 2007, Khaleda and her sons—Tarique Rahman and Arafat Rahman Koko-- were arrested on graft charges.

After their release on parole in 2008, Koko flew to Thailand for treatment with his family. Later, he moved to Malaysia and had been staying there.

In 2011, Arafat was sentenced to six years for laundering money during BNP-Jamaat alliance government. He was also fined TK19 crore.
