BNP city unit Convener Mirza Abbas has collected nomination form for contesting the mayoral race in the upcoming Dhaka South City Corporation polls.
Abbas's lawyer Advocate Shahjahan, acting Juba Dal president Abdus Salam Azad, advocates Mohiuddin Ahmed and Zainul Abedin collected the form on behalf of the BNP leader on Friday morning.
"We have picked up nomination paper for Mirza Abbas for the mayoral race of the Dhaka South City Corporation," Advocate Shahjahan said.
Abdus Salam, currently finance secretary of BNP's central committee, is also running for Dhaka south.
