The BNP-back organisation Chhattagram Unnoyan Andolon has nominated M Manzur Alam as its mayoral candidate for the election of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC).
Dr Abul Kalam Azad, convener of the organisation, made the announcement at a press conference in Chittagong on Wednesday evening.
The organisation also made the nomination for BNP candidate in the last CCC polls.
The Election Commission has fixed April 28 for holding the elections to bifurcated Dhaka, and Chittagong City Corporations.
The last date of submission of nomination papers is March 29.
Meanwhile, the Awami League nominated AJM Nasir Uddin as its mayoral candidate for the CCC polls.
