A Dhaka court yesterday rejected Nagorik Oikya Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna’s remand cancellation prayer.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mizanur Rahman passed the order saying that the court had not found any ground for the cancellation of the 10-day remand in a sedition case.
Manna’s counsel Abdul Mannan Khan on Wednesday also filed a bail petition.
Manna was hospitalised on Tuesday night after he complained of chest pain. He earlier complained of torture during interrogation at the DB headquarters. The IO yesterday said Manna had already recovered.
