Jaitya Party Chairman Hussain Mohammed Ershad said the people in Bangladesh now want to see Jaitya Party at the power to get rid of dirty politics of the ruling party Awami League and BNP.
He came up with the hope while addressing as a chief guest at a view exchange meeting with local leaders and activists at its party office in Muradpur area in Chittagong.
“The mass people have become fed-up with the politics of two parties (BNP and AL). The mass people want to see the change with Jaitya Party in power again,” he said.
Ershad, also special envoy to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said: “If the next election is held in a free and fair manner, Jatiya Party will come to power solely."
He said there was no faction in the party's Chittagong unit and directed his party leaders and activists to take preparation for the next election.
Jaitya Party’s convener in Chittagong Mehjabin Morshed presided over the meeting while the party’s secretary general Jiyauddin Bablu, vice chairman Morshed Murad Ibrahim, Shaista Khan and Shamsul Alam were present at the meeting.
