BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Mosaddek Ali Falu has been placed on a five-day fresh remand in an arson case filed with Mirpur police station in Dhaka.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Tarek Moinul Islam passed the order on Wednesday afternoon, after the IO of the case SI Rafiqul Islam produced him before the court with a 10-day remand plea.
The court also rejected a bail petition filed by defence lawyer.
On January 28, some miscreants set a bus afire in the capital's Mirpur 2 area. Later, the police filed a case in this connection.
Falu has been shown arrested in the case after completion of a three-day remand in another arson case filed with Badda police station.
The case was filed over the arson on a bus of Ababil Paribahan near Badda Link Road area in the capital on February 1.
Earlier, Falu was put on five-day remand in another arson case filed with Khilgaon police.
