The activists of 14-party and its affiliates in Joypurhat has formed a human chain and held rally in protest of killing and violence around the country during the strike and blockade.
They formed an-hour long human chain on the main road at the town's central mosque courtyard area at 4pm on Monday.
After the human chain, the rally took place at the premises of the central mosque.
The coordinator of the district's 14-party and district Awami League general secretary SM Solaiman Ali presided over the protest program.
District Awami League President Shamsul Alam Dudu MP, District JSD President Abul Khair Mohammad Shakhawat, Workers Party's Zahurul Islam spoke at the program, among others.
