The BNP-led 20-party alliance has called for a 72-hour long nationwide hartal from Sunday morning protesting killings, mass arrest, torture on party activists and restoration of democracy.
Joint Secretary General of BNP Salahuddin Ahmed made the announcement through a press release on Friday evening.
Salahuddin said the 72-hours long hartal will be started from 6am Sunday and will continue till 6am Wednesday.
He, on behalf of the party Chairperson Khaleda Zia, called upon the party leaders and activists to enforce the hartal peacefully.
The opposition alliance enforced 72-hour hartal in last week and then extended for 36 more hours. Giving a pause for Friday and Saturday and again called on nationwide hartal.
