BNP has called on s daylong general strike for Wednesday in Jhenaidah on Monday.
A press release from district BNP signed by district unit General Secretary Abdul Malek confirmed the strike on Monday evening.
The strike was called protesting set the district BNP office on fire by miscreants, massive arrest of BNP activists and leaders, filing false cases against them and harassment by the police.
In the press release, BNP apologised for the temporary inconveniences of the common people during the strike hours.
