Ongoing hartal and blockade are not now political related programmes, rather terrorist matters, Finance Minister AMA Muhith has said.
The minister made the comments at a meeting with the visiting six-member team of the Confederation of Asia -Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) led-by its chairman Jemal Inaishvilli in the capital on Monday.
In the meeting, Muhith said: “We now treat hartal and blockade as terrorist matters.”
The ongoing hartal and blockade should be stopped within short time, he said.
Bangladesh economy was good in 2014 but the economic situation has deteriorated at the beginning of the New Year 2015.
